Myint Kyaw

Local Media Trainer, Conflict Sensitive Journalism

Myint Kyaw joined the Myanma Dana business magazine as a reporter in 2003. He covered business , social and other stories. Myint Kyaw founded Myitmakha news group with Ma May Thingyan Hein in 2008. And two year later established another news group Yangon Press International with other journalist colleagues. YPI is the first uncensored online news agency in Myanmar. It  took advantage of new government's media relaxation policy. He currently working as a media trainer and consultant. He is member of Myanmar Journalist Network and Interim Myanmar Press Council.

U Tint Swe

Director General, Myanmar Radio and Television

U Tint Swe is the Director General of Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. MRTV is the only mainstream broadcast media of Myanmar with long history of over 67-year-old and is now on its way to transform from the State media to a Public Service one. U Tint Swe is also a writer and he has a good background of print media for many years. He served as a columnist, editor and chief editor of Military Science journal for 6 years and he wrote more than 300 articles. In 2005, he served as the Director and, then, Deputy Director General of Printing and Publishing Enterprise of the Ministry of Information and was promoted to Director General in 2012. He is one of the key persons of Ministry of Information who have participated in media reform process since 2008 and he led in drafting Public Service Media Law. Now as Director General of MRTV; he is taking part in changing state owned MRTV to Public Service Broadcasting Station.

Ms. Barbara Swann

Swann Media Consultants LLC

Barbara Swann is an international consultant with broad experience developing, implementing and evaluating legal reform projects worldwide.  She is a media lawyer, former public relations executive and award-winning journalist. She has taught mass media law at the University of New Mexico, Tbilisi State Law Faculty (Georgia) and Yerevan State Law Faculty (Armenia) and legal research and writing at Rutgers University School of Law (New Jersey). Ms. Swann is an honors graduate of Rutgers University School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the Rutgers Computer & Technology Law Journal. She serves on the International Advisory Council of the International Senior Lawyers Project and is licensed to practice law in New York, California, New Jersey and the District of Columbia.

Khin Maung Htay

Director & Co-Founder, Forever Group

Graduated from Yangon University in 1983. He has experience in teaching color separation and editing theory for Diploma in Computer Arts program in 2000. He has been involved in the broadcasting industry in both radio and television since 2004. He is also a member of Myanmar Press Council which was newly reformed in September 2012. He is now in Forever Group as a Director in management position.
